The Cyberhand bionic hand feels and flexes

The Europeans responsible for the “Cyberhand” have, along with it’s scifi-esque moniker, given their creation some scifi-esque capabilities that bode well for amputees and Luke Skywalker wannabees the world over!

TECH: Xbox 360s Crashing Like Mad?

There appear to be increasing reports of Xbox 360s crashing even with games running on default settings. Could this be an early sign of serious defects or a problem between the gamepad and chair?

-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

Never buy a console when it first comes out! Wait up to six months if you can. That way you can get one with the majority of the glitches worked out. Hell the psone and ps2 were full of glitches when they first came out. Why pay all of that money to be crash test dummies?

Retro clothing is in, and so is retro gaming. Kill two ducks with one stone and pick-up this stylish NES gamepad beanie. It's the ideal piece of headwear for any old school gamer. It looks sharp, and provides excellent protection when smashing your head against the TV after getting pwn'd in a frustrating session of gaming. Remember, your health comes first.

Watch TV on your TV Wristwatch

You've probably seen similar gizmos in sci-fi movies and Bond films, but this particularly chic televisual timepiece is the first one that really cuts the mustard in terms of convenience, price and picture quality. Plus you don't need arms like Arnie to wear the thing.

MUSIC: Jay-Z , Lyor, and Stoute interested in buying the Source

From Allhiphop.com:

Women's Wear Daily reports that Jay-Z, president of Def Jam, could be joining forces with Lyor Cohen, CEO of Warner Music Group and Stoute, who heads up his own company, Translation Consultation & Brand Imaging.

Previous published reports have indicated that The Source is $16 million in debt, a claim made by Textron Financial Corp, the company's chief creditor.

The company is seeking to take control of the magazine due to disputes over how the finances and the company is being managed.

In addition to Jay-Z, Cohen and Stoute, magazine rival Harris Publications, who owns XXL, may also attempt to purchase the "bible of Hip-Hop" should it become available.
--------------------------------------------

This could be a real good thing. Hopefully someone restores credibility back to this magazine which was once before a staple of hiphop. I don't read it because most of the time it has ulterior motives (like beefing with rappers). Hopfully they get back to good thought provoking hiphop journalism.

TECH: T-Mobile Sidekick 3

I am definitely not a fan of the past three Sidekicks because of their lack of features. But if this is the new SK3 it sure does look nice. Hopefully Danger/T-Mobile will make sure this thing has Bluetooth, a mmc/SD slot, 2 mega pixel camera, mp3 player and mpeg4 playback. Props to Engadget and Howard forums for the info. I will keep you posted as more info becomes available.

Update 3: Gizmodo is saying the SK3 could see an April 2006 release. Oh I mean Paris gets hers in April. Everyone else will probably have to wait until June '06.

Update 2: Okay according to Gizmodo's reputable T-Mobile source the SK3 won't run on Windows and it won't be available until 2006. This makes since because the special edition SK2's just dropped.

Update: Supposedly the SK3 will run on Windows Mobile. There is supposedly a vip list for the SK3 release. Yeah no doubt Ms. Hilton will have hers first. Oh, and word is that the SK3 will be released in December. This is all just hearsay. It's generating a good buzz though. T-Mobile USA don't drop the ball.

The rechargeable batteries of the future have arrived

Sanyo has announced their ENELOOP batteries yesterday.
1) they are ready to use as they are already charged. Sanyo seems to have solved the "Self-Discharge" problem (a rechargeable battery discharges slowly when it's not being used).

2) the batteries are "eco-friendly" and can be recycled.

3) the battery life is greater than a Dry Cell type of battery. Sanyo did some tests and they say that you can take 4.4 times more pictures with their batteries than with a normal Dry Cell battery. They can be recharged more than 1000 times too before they start losing their initial capacity.
